Full-Time: 9:00am – 5:30pm

The Village at Victory Lakes, a part of Franciscan Ministries, is hiring a Fitness Specialist who is customer focused to become a part of a healthcare company whose mission is to celebrate life and serve with joy. The Fitness Specialist guides residents and associates through the process of creating a vision for their health, wellbeing by developing a healthy mindset and healthy habits, and encourages them every step of the way until goals are accomplished. We currently have a full-time position open for our campus.

Duties and responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for providing classes in all levels of care: Skilled, Assisted, Memory Support and Independent Living.
  • Develops and implements systems and processes to monitor the impact of programs for residents and associates.
  • Holds classes about different health related subjects to assist residents and associates in understanding health concerns, nutritional needs, and healthy cooking.

 Required skills and qualifications: 

  • Certified Personal Trainer or other related college degrees
  • 3-5 years’ experience required within the healthcare senior housing industry
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Flexible schedule, including availability to work as needed, weekends and holidays
  • Must enjoy working with the senior population

The Village at Victory Lakes is a continuing care retirement community (CCRC), offering a variety of senior lifestyle options including independent living, assisted living, memory support assisted living, and skilled nursing/long-term care. Additionally, the on-site rehabilitation clinic offers inpatient and outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapies, and state-of-the-art programs designed to enhance the quality of life for residents and patients in the local community.
